Welcome to our parent resources page. We believe that a vital part of youth ministry is effectively partnering with parents, encouraging and supporting their role and responsibility as the #1 influence on their child. Here you can hope to find a variety of resources, links, and upcoming events. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Resource Links:
There are a lot of great resources available online to help with the vast array of parenting decisions that you have make each day. Here's some of our favorite parent and youth ministry resources. (While we've done our best to choose great sites, we also don't have editorial control over any of them and thus we cannot take responsibility for their content. So, as always, surf with caution.)
Media:
Screen It: a detailed, play-by-play of current movies.
Kids In Mind: a detailed, play-by-play of current movies.
Plugged In: reviews on movies, music, and TV shows. While Screen It and Kids In Mind leave the decision making process up to the reader, Plugged In offers more of an editorial perspective.
Parenting:
CPYU: The Center for Parent/Youth Understanding. A great resource for helping to bring understanding between parents and their teens, CPYU is directed by Walt Mueller.
Sticky Faith: Put out by the Fuller Youth Institute and Kara Powell, the Sticky Faith parents site resources parents with thoughts on how to help their faith "stick" with their teenagers.
Books:
Coming soon.
By the way, if you're a new parent to our ministry, we have a special gift for you, the book "The Space Between" by Walt Mueller. It's a great resource for trying to learn more about adolescent development and how to respond to it. Just stop by the office and ask me for one!
Cootie Killer notes
In the month of January, we're spending several weeks talking about relationships and sexuality. Each week, I'll be posting notes with some explanation from the previous talk so that you can have any follow up conversations you would like to with your students. Please let me know if you have any questions along the way!
