Week Long Opportunities for summer 2012

Our summer trips give us an incredible chance to get outside of our comfort zone and serve others all over the place. God's calling on our lives is to be his agents of redemptive change, who, through the power of his Spirit, work to restore our lives & and the lives of others to the way he created us to be.  This year we have three missions going out, striving to put this into practice through some unique opportunities.

Parent Meeting:

There will be a parent meeting on Sunday, June 3rd at 6:30 pm in the middle school room. This will be the final parent meeting before all the trips head out for the summer. Final payments are due by the parent meeting.

Fundraisers:

Don't let the cost of a trip keep you from participating. We've got several fundraisers coming up over the next few months to help make the trip costs more doable for you. Please plan to help in whatever way you can with all of our fundraisers (even if you don't need the money)!

THIS YEAR'S FUNDRAISERS:

Luncheon/Silent Auction: This year's luncheon will be on May 6th from 11-2 pm. There are so many ways you can help with this event! From setting up, serving, tearing down, and finding ways to contribute to our silent auction, there will not be a shortage of ways for you to participate!

Student Work Days: Mark these dates down on your calendar! April 24th, March 21st, and May 12th. You have the option to sign up for different time slots (9-12pm and 1-4pm) on these days.

Chairs - Spring sign-ups will be available mid-February. Check your calendars now and look for the sign-ups soon. Reminder: Students can work a maximum of 4 hours per month and can pay up to 80% of a youth event with chairs money.

Here are some documents you may find useful. You can give this one to friends and family to let them know how they can help, and you can use this one to remind yourself and your parents of what's coming up in the next couple of months.
